We need a new oil burner.....recs??
We need a whole new oil burner
Has anyone done this recently? Any recommendations?
It is going to stay oil we looked into gas but it would cost 10K just to get the line in....so that is out.

No it won't. It'll probably cost about $5 k max depending on who you use.
Most companies will also allow you to finance through them. We need a new oil burner as well. We'll most likely go with Tragar - we have to put 50% up front and then we can finance the rest at 0% for 12 months if we want to.

$5K sounds right. My friend recently got a new burner and that is around how much she paid.

Certain towns have "green" programs that will help finance the new furnace through what you would save per month with something more efficient.

In Feb we got a new burner w/a tankless hot water heater from our oil company. It cost all $4700 all in (labor, taking out the old one, etc.). It is energy star rated so we will get a little bit back on our taxes next year. Feel free to FM me for the name of the company.
The brand is Peerless Boilers. We just got what the oil company recommended!!
We didn't do financing... we used the new homeowner money
