Re: *Wed QOTD*
LOL, I'm crazy. I'm temping, and using OPKs. I take OTC prenatals as well. This is our first month trying and I've been drinking grapefruit juice and green tea this week, and next week (closer to O), I'm starting Robitussin. I figure none of this stuff can hurt, so why not. I know people say all this stuff stresses them out and at least in the beginning to just try, but not being super proactive stresses me out. I need to plan everything, and write it down. You should see my planer but that's just me.

Re: *Wed QOTD*
Last month I O'd on everything I thought could help. I was drinking grapefruit juice, taking evening primrose oil, drinking green tea and taking mucinex. I would up Oing much later then I usually do. So this month I am just trying to relax, eat right and maybe I will try some yoga. I am also thinking of getting a massage to try and relax. I take otc prenatal vitamins and try to stay away from caffeine and processed foods.

Re: *Wed QOTD*
It has only been one month, but the only thing I did was use an OPK, but I never got a smiley (my timing was off). So basically, I did nothing! Not taking prenatals, or charting, but I might start this cycle.

Re: *Wed QOTD*
Sorry I never answered We are using OPKs, taking OTC prenatals, drinking red raspberry leaf tea and using preseed. So far the tea has just made my irregular cycles regular.

Re: *Wed QOTD*
We are using OPK's. I never stopped my prenatals because I am still BFing DS. If this cycle doesn't work out I may try Preseed and maybe mucinex.

Re: *Wed QOTD*
I'm not doing anything but using preseed for 2 cycles so far. If this isnt my month I am going to do OPK's. I also limit myself to one cup of coffee a day instead of 2.

I forget about the raspberry leaf tea, but grapefruit juice, green tea and baby carrots are supposed to help with fertile CM.
What are some other possible ways to improve cervical mucus? From Fertility Plus- a section on Robitussin Drinking plenty of water should always be considered in addition to any other therapies one might try. Estrogen is sometimes given to help mucus production, though doctors have mixed opinions of its benefit, especially when used with Clomid (and some suggest using Tamoxifen instead of Clomid). Injectable gonadotropins used for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation often have a positive effect on cervical mucus as well. Some home/natural remedies include eating salty foods such as popcorn (mucus is very salty), taking evening primrose oil, avoiding dairy products (they can thicken mucus), eating lots of baby carrots, and also avoiding antihistamines, including high doses of vitamin C. Another suggestion that is increasing in popularity is to drink grapefruit juice in order to improve or increase the amount of cervical mucus. If one is on prescription medications, it is a good idea to look for warning about grapefruit juice consumption (it isn't recommended with several medications for hypertension, for example).
