wedding cocktail hour
as a guest, do you prefer indoor or outdoor? approx 75 degrees

Outdoor is more fun...there's only so many months here in NY where you can really be comfortable outside. It's just NICE to be outside, dressed up and ready to party.
But my wedding day should have been around 80 degrees and it was like 95 and high humidity...so we had our's indoors. As long as they can change it to indoors if the weather sucks, I would try for outdoors.

wedding cocktail hour
Indoors unless it's autumn. I'm not sure you can go by me because I like it cold, and in my opinion, when I have taken the time to do my hair and makeup, if it gets ruined in humid weather I feel icky.
My bil and SIL got married at Watermill and the cocktail hour was outside. I'll admit, it was gorgeous, like a movie. It felt like a fantasy. But I was hot sticky and yucky.

Food inside, seating outside. I don't like food sitting out under hot sun and bugs.

We had the option of both. Guest did both. I found older family stayed inside the rest was outside.

I tend to agree. You can't predict the temperature. It might be a time of year when the temp is SUPPOSED to be 75 but it can be much higher or much lower.
Also humidity is a huge factor. Like others have said, my hair and make up would suffer and I'd be annoyed all night.
But I am not one to eat outside really. Whenever we go to dinner and they ask inside or out, we always pick inside.
I'm either too hot, too cold, too many bugs, it's just not comfortable for me

best of both worlds.mine was like this. It was July tto, but the weather was beautiful. I don't think you can go wrong. Plus t's probably at night, right? It should be cooling down

the grounds are really nice and the indoor room where it will be held is BRAND new.. they just installed the bar last week. its so chic and modern.
ill make the decision the day of i guess

it will be at 7:30 and 70-75 degrees. no sweating.
im worried about buigs, although its not near any fields or bodies of water.

Are you the only bride? And is there easy access to the outside area from the inside room?
If you are the only bride, ask them to set the station food inside and the bar. Have them set some seating outside but have the servers with the tray passed food rotate between inside and out.
This allows your guests to choose what they want and utilize the new inside area!

It depends. I went to a wedding with an outdoor cocktail hour and the bees were all over the food and it was really hot. Ideally indoor/outdoor would be great.
