I say it's expensive - I think you can get a nice Saturday night wedding for less than that - but really I am not sure!

I got married in March of '03 at Fox Hollow and I paid less than half that...
WOW! You got a deal! That's great!
I got married at Fox Hollow in October '03 and paid close to $100pp... I got gipped!
to clarify if I misspoke...it was a Friday night at the Fox Hollow and we paid 55 a head ...we got married on March 14th 2003, we almost booked November 14th 2003, another Friday night, for 99 a head....DH offhandedly asked how much it would cost to get married in the winter. This was October of 2002 (so I basically planned my wedding in 5 months and saved almost 15k)
That's amazing!! I'll tell ya, if I knew then what I know now, I think I would've planned my wedding so differently!

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
I voted "expensive" but that was before I saw that it includes taxes and tip, so really I think it's average

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
$140PP including an 18% grat and 8.625 tax is $110 PP without.
If she is getting married during the summer or october, this is a very good price.
check out LIW - they have threads on price quotes girls have gotten for 07 and 08 -

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
Thanks again all. IMO, it's average these days. She's not having a "traditional" reception, though. It's essentially a 5-hour cocktail party. No placecards, menus, cake cutting , although there will be a cupcake tower!

I was thinking expensive, but with this kind of breakdown it's below average! I got married on a Saturday afternoon in June 04 - the evening rate where I got married was $110 before tax and tip, which is why we opted for the afternoon ($30 pp less!).

I voted average
I don't think it is a "bargain" b/c I still think it is expensive - but I got married 10/20 as well and it was around that price

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
That seems high to me - we looked at a lot of places before deciding and the highest we were quoted for a sunday night wedding in the summer was 95 per person wo taxes or tip

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
I went to about 12 halls when I was searching for a reception spot and I think that $140 is about average. Of course some places were lower, and some were higher but most were in the $140-190 price range.

Re: Wedding "price per person" poll.
I'm not actually voting because my first thought was OMG, insane! But then when I thought for a second, I guess when I got married almost 10 years ago it would've been insane. But now...I don't know...maybe just a little insane?
