Weekend Getaway Suggestions
DH and I are hoping to go away for a 3 or 4-day weekend sometime in May before  arrives in July (It’s also our 3-year wedding anniversary.)
We are trying to come up with some ideas...we want it to be in driving distance and preferably somewhere a little warmer. I am not opposed to going somewhere north as long as the facilities are nice and there is a spa!
Any suggestions? When I say driving distance, I mean about 10 -12 hours tops.
If you could also provide hotel suggestions that would be great! Thanks!

I really want to go to Baltimore, MD for a weekend. Although it'll have to happen when the baby is here and we'll take a mini-vacation.
I watch too much Ace of Cakes.

We were just considering these places:
Lake George
Mystic, CT
Cape Cod
Atlantic City
Boston
In the end I think we're just going to go up to my parent's trailer in upstate NY for a few days and just do day trips from there instead...

ETA: Erica just reminded me that D.C. came up too. I was just there for work, though, so I nixed that immediately

DH and I have started an anniversary weekend trip tradition where we find a drive in movie theatre (This site lets you enter your zip code to search in your range. ) and stay in a local bed and breakfast. See a double feature, have a nice dinner and check out the local scenery/attractions.
Last year, we went to Warwick, NY about a 3 hour drive. We may do a repeat this year as our movie was rained out and we loved the town so much! This year, we'll have the baby too!
The year before that, we went to Pleasant Valley, CT. Also about a 3 hour drive.
We have such a simple, fun and romantic time and with babies and kids will get even better!

not sure how 'warm' penna will be - but i can rant and rave until i DIE about how spectacular the Hershey Spa is in Hershey, PA.....
it's HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They also have outlets, have added a new 'water' section to their theme park....there's loads of stuff to do around there!
