Weird Ebay-Paypal Issue?
We puchased something off of ebay and we paid via Paypal. The money was taken from our bank account and sent to the seller's account.
I get an email today from the seller, saying she can't withdraw the money from paypal and to send her a money order. Now the money is out of my account already. Why would I double pay for the item?????
I have sold many things and used paypal for everything and never had a problem with withdrawing money. Has anyone else had this situation??? The lady mailed the item already and we received it. Would you send her a money order?

That sounds fishy. If you sent the money, it is done. Any issue the seller is having with Paypal is their problem. I would refer the seller to Paypal customer support. Don't send any more money!

the money was taken out and if she is having trouble withdrawing--perhaps she has some type of overdraft or other issue. you paid--paypal took the money--not your problem. i would contact customer support as well to ensure that its not a scam or some sort and let them know a seller is asking for double payment

I agree with the AP it sounds like a scam to me. I would not send anymore money.

Yes, why would you even think of sending more money? Have her take it up with pay pal...hope it gets resolved quick

I don't think its a barrier. The email she sent me was pretty good english. SHould I be worried that this lady lives in Ronkonkoma? She knows my address is she going to come after me if I don't pay her again?

Can you please send me a money order for the amount due, I cannot collect it from paypal for some reason I can pay for my auctions but cannot get my payments. I mailed the item today from Ronkonkoma, just got home tonite, they said you will receive it in two days. Please let me know when you do and PLEASE SEND ME THE MONEY ORDER. Thank You so much and hope you are happy with the suit.

I completely agree. I would tell her you will be happy to send a money order as soon as the money is posted back to your account but until then, you can't pay for the item for a second time.

you can check to see if the money is uncliamed by her- paypal would send you an email
and no seller would send the item with out getting paid- very fishy

Maybe she doesn't have a bank account linked with PayPal? It is possible she is paying with auctions through PayPal using a credit card.
Regardless, if the money was deducted from your PayPal account, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Tell her if she wants you to send a money order, refund the PP payment first.
