Have you found anyone else who had this problem? You seem like a devoted father and I can't imagine what you went through.
Having said that, you know that getting a formal recall is difficult without more than one case- no matter HOW many times you post about it.

Last week the CPSC "called me". they couldn't come right out and say,,, but they said "very positive steps were being taking" and that they would contact me prior to anything happening "this week".
So until then I will and have been posting on many diferent forums... not only this one.
There have been 660 veiws on this subject and only a few of you actually responded.... Do you really think that all the people registered check this out every day? Seriously...
Oh,,that's sick to think I want some child to get hurt.

After reading your myspace page, I think I'm starting to get your agenda (and I do believe you have good intentions, but your 'delivery' is a bit off). Have you contacted one of those news shows that spotlight problems like this? That might help your cause. What else have you done (aside from posting here and myspace) to get your word out?

Well, thanks for being nice.... I have contacted everyone... 7 on your side, CNN, Fox 5, the Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, my congressman, Better Business, other family forums and ,,,,,,,
Nobody will deal with it until it is "officially" recalled.
It doesn't seem to matter Toys R Us took it out of BRU...all of a sudden..
I am sure they are getting a lot of phone calls.... So if I have been doing anything wrong I am sure some lawyers would have contacted me already.
Sorry, I do have a bad delivery... My wife tells me that all the time...

I hope everything works out for you and I thank you for making our communtiy aware of this problem.
we have a ton of friends and who knows one of them may have this crib.
Its a great awareness and again thank you.
Your delivery was fine, straight to the point. why should you have to sugar coat what you are trying to say.
Is there a way to put out a memo out on craigs list about this too?

I want it publicly known. I want them to go to every persons house they sold this to and tell them...(a little over reacting). It would have be nice if they made some kind of public announcement by now.

I just recieved this from Craigs list:
I had my heart set on that crib. Had one in mind three weeks ago and went in on Monday to purchase it only to find out that it was recalled. I too am frustrated at why these companies can sell an item for over $500 (over $750 with the bed rails and guard rails) only to have unsafe products. I ended up with the Baby Italia Pinehurst which seems sturdy enough, but my trust level for all of these companies has decreased tremendously. It is a shame. I'm sorry for what happened to your Daughter and thank heaven's it didn't end tragically. Thanks for the crusade to have it recalled. You just saved me $750 plus a lot of heart ache. PT

I just wanted to clarify this... I spoke with my local BRU store manager today after I received this letter....
They are replacing people's cribs if they feel the need. They are no longer selling these due to the investigation...
Technically they have not been recalled...
She said one couple expecting had the set on order and the baby was due soon... They had to settle for something else... That kinda made me feel good but also upset because I know the search for a crib is long and hard.... They probably had their hearts set on this and was told they couldn't have it....

Today after I received this email I called my local BRU. They said it wasn't recalled yet but under investigation. They have had orders for it and had to cancel them. People who were expecting soon had to settle for something else.... I some way I feel bad because I know the road is long and hard to find a crib you like.
I also spoke with my local newspaper again,,,, seems like they will take my story... Just waiting for a phone call.

As for some of the responses on this post, I am sorry for the bashing you rec'd by some. Some people have trouble seeing the forest for the trees.
