Went from the Day & Night handheld to the Best View monitor and I'm not thrilled with it...

The sound on our Summer Infant Day & Night video monitor started to cut in and out. I called Summer Infant and they told me to blow air into the volume dial area and that should fix it...well it didnt and eventually the sound would only work if the volume was turned all the way up. I didn't have the receipt, as it was a gift, so I figured they wouldn't replace it. I ended up buying the Summer Infant Best View and I'm not loving it. The picture on the Day & Night is sooo much better and clearer. I like that the Best View camera can pan, but the zoom stinks and the picture is not clear. I can't see or hear DS breathing like I could with the Day & Night and now I feel like I'm checking on him every 5 minutes! Is this really the only monitor that has the pan & zoom option?

I dont have any advice, I'm sorry! I am still trying to decide which one to get between the two! So you would say picture and sound quality are better on the Day & Night? Consumer Research says that one is better too, but it just seems like so many people choose the Best View over it so I was curious why.
