WOW. I mean yeah on the one hand I appreciate that they are comcerned for the animal's well-being, but it sounds way excessive.

Thanks everyone! We appreciate it!
We are looking on petfinder to find a dog, we've seen some really great dogs, but when DH calls to ask about them they either aren't good with kids or cats.
I'm positive we'll find our perfect doggy. When we do, we'll know that all this was worth it, because that dog will be meant for us!
MIL didn't get a dog from NSAL, I was misinformed, she went to get a dog but they denied her for having a cat allergy. She got her dog from a breeder, but they had her on file still at NSAL so she can't adopt from them, and apparently we can't either.
I'll keep everyone updated!!!!
