what age can I stop using baby tub for dd?
DD will be 11m on 8/22.. she sits up well and wonder if its time i give her some more freedom and ditch the baby tub?

funny you should ask this. i would ditch it honestly- this is ONLY b/c DD has only started to allow me to bathe her in the tub instead of the sink with the infant tub. i still have to use the infant tub now though but IN the bath tub. otherwise she freaks out! i wish i had taken it away earlier! however, this is just my DD and yours probably won't have this issue!
anyway, if she is sitting up well you might want to just use the regular tub as normal or even get one of those little seats that contains the child so they don't fall-etc...

I put the baby tub in reg. tub, she likes to splash. I got one of those seats and when its time to wash her bottom she wont go back in to rinse down.. she screams and has a fit. I was thinking of getting one of those inflatable things that goes around the inside of reg. tub. I wonder how those are?

I would have DS in the regular tub now (or try it anyway), but DH is in the process of a long, painful retiling job. So the tub isn't usable, and I don't think he's ready for a shower yet! DS is 8.5 months.
I keep bugging DH to finish it soon though because DSs feet are starting to lop out of the baby tub. He likes the town pool, so I'm guessing he'll like splashing in the big tub.
If you think DC is nervous the first few times, maybe go in the tub with him/her.

I still use the baby tub at home, but recently we went on vacation for a couple of days and we brought a blow up tub with us. My DS loved it. I will be switching to the blow up tub at home soon. I think it definitely would be a pan to blow up every day. Mine has a little whole that you can use to hang it up. Maybe you can put a hook somewhere in the bathroom or in the shower and hang it up.

I used one of those blue seats from about 9 or 10 mos until he was sturdy enough for the regular tub.....maybe 16 or 18 mos

I love it. IMO soo much better than that infant tub.
I put it in the tub and just wash it down after he uses it. I don't deflate it

I stopped using it about 9-10 months & tried one of those seats a time or 2, but she wasn't a fan. She's been in the big bathtub now since maybe 11 months & is fine. We just bought a non-slip mat for underneath.

Bryan was in a seat until he was about 11 or 12 months.
I went out, bought a 'non slip mat" and he LOVES the big tub.

I got rid of the little baby tub at about 6 months. I have an inflatable tub now, just cuz he is a squirmy worm. It works out great, and suctions to the wall when not in use. I love it because If I travel I just deflate and take with me. I am thinking in the next few months he is going to be ready to have just the inflatable bumber around the sides and a no slip mat on the bottom.

We wash our 8 mnth old right in the kitchen sink, give her a bowl and a plastic spoon and she is one happy baby.

We have been thinking it's time to switch too. She still loves her tub and I think sometimes, it's best to keep her a little confined, because she goes crazy in there! But I do think it may be time for the inflatable or the seat.

I have a newborn to toddler tub too. DS fits in it but he's tall so his legs are getting a little long for it, so we may have to do the tub. I just have to buy a non slippery bath mat...

After the newborn to toddler tub in the sink - we put it in the tub. Then when he outgrew that we put him in a blow up tub (in our tub)
We keep it blown up and in the bathroom. He loves it!

At 6 months we out the baby tub in the big tub (instead of the kitchen sink).
Then at 10 months we started just outting DD into the bug tub.
We bought a rubber mat for the bottom of the tub & she LOVES to take a bath.

I ditched out duck bath at 10 months - but got a large bath mat to cover the bottom so it wasn't slippery. DD was so much happier and loves bath time even more.

DS is 13 mos and I still have him in the blowup tub. He moves around a lot and loves to splash so I'm afraid of him slipping in the big tub. We keep it inflated and just put it in a spare closet when we're not using it.

Brooke is 10 months old and has been out of the bath seat and in the regular tub for over a month. She loves to splash around with her sister!
