What age did DC grow out of the infant seat?
I think we are approaching the 29" mark and she's almost 6.5 months. We'll see at her checkup later this week. Her toes don't hang over yet but they are so close!
A DD of a friend of ours didn't grow out of hers until she was closer to a year. She was a peanut!

Steven hasn't reached the 30" mark just yet. He is so close. BUT, he has been too wide for it since before he was 6 months. he is so scrunched. My mom still uses it for her car, but they don't go out THAT much. He already has the convertable in my car, though.
That's the bad thing about having a big baby

Lily will be out of it VERY soon and she'll be 8 months old tomorrow. I'm holding out as long as I can. I'm not looking forward to giving up our "easy" nap solution. She almost always falls asleep in the car. Once she's in the convertible, it's gonna be a PIA to get her out without waking her up.

Bella just turned 6 months and we are in the process of getting a convertable car seat. Even though she is 28 inches, the straps are at her shoulder blades and have to go up over her shoulders to get her in.

she was out of it at about 7 months.. she could've still fit but she was sort of smooshed in it & she would put out her elbows to fight getting strapped in....
so we made the swithc.

I think Katherine was around 8 months or so, but Abby's only 2 months old now and I already want to take her out---too HEAVY!!

My older son was out at 6 months, which I thought was young.
My younger son outgrew his at 3.5 months, but we squashed him into it until 4 months old. In hindsight, we never should have done that, but I was in denial...

my boys are almost 10 months and are still in it...I know, they are big for it, but it is just so easy for me with them now for the summer because Im in and out of stores like Wal-Mart/Target, Lowes, Sam's, and it is just so easy to put them both in the shopping cart then take them out and push a a stroller and cart.
I have the carseats, just waiting till Septemeber before I go back to work, and then we will put them in, so this way we can face them forward when they will be 1.

We just switched DD at 13 months. She's a bit on the small side. She could probably stay in a tiny bit longer, but she's close to the infant seat limit, and don't want to have to weigh her every day to see if she's too heavy for the infant seat.

DD is 13 mos and she was only 26 3/4 inches at her 12 mos visit so she still fits the requirements so we haven't moved her yet.

We are doing the same with Michael. He is 11 months old and still in his. He is to long for it (and has been for the last few months) but we are just waiting for him to be a year and buy him the toddle car seat and turn him around.

we switched DS out of his by 6 months... we put him in the Britax.
He was just getting too heavy and long and seemed so uncomfortable in the infant carrier.. but I miss the convenience of it that's for sure

He was out of his at 4/5 months. My height limit was 26 inches and he hit that at 3 months. By 5 months he was 19lbs+ - too heavy to lug anyway!

DD is 13 months and she is still in it.
We have the Graco SafeSeat which accommodates a child rear-facing up to 30 lbs. and 32 inches tall.
At DD 12 month appt - she was 20lbs and 31" tall, so she can still be in it for a while, her legs are a little long - but it doesn't seem to bother her -plus she is rear-facing and doesn't mind being that way - so we haven't changed it yet.
We just got the Marathon over the weekend - so we have it for when we want to change it.
--btw - we haven't taken the infant 'seat' out of the car in months - she was to heavy for me for months so we leave it in the car and have been carrying her out to the car
Do some of you still take your DC in and out of the car in that seat?? If you do  Cause you must have awesome strength!!!

We do the same thing. We take DS in and out of the seat.
The infant seat has been heavy for me since day one! I am a weakling! I still carry it in and out only becuase I usually have bags in my hand and hate making more than one trip. I have callouses on my hands from carrying that darn thing!

5 months - they hadn't reached the weight max but they were just too difficult to carry around anymore.
