What are they doing on the LIE near exit 49
I don't know but it is like that intermittently all the way through exit 63. And it is annoying because there are no on and off ramps to the HOV lane and people are just crossing over all willy nilly.

We noticed that the other morning while driving to Syosset. I haven't been on the LIE out there in about a month and it seems to have cropped up out of nowhere and was a little disconcerting because I felt like we were being pushed off an exit ramp but we weren't. 
Are they widening it or something?
