what are your thoughts on the kraft mac and cheese controversy?
My 16 month old loves kraft Mac and cheese. I've been reading and hearing lots of stories lately about people protesting them bc of the dyes they are using. Freaked me out and my ds hasn't had it since. Anyone know more on this topic? What are your thoughts? Any good alternatives?

Artificial dyes are not good for anyone, period. I would try annies.
Once consumers start demanding change and stop buying products, companies will listen.

My kids also loved Kraft Mac and Cheese but I switched over to Annie's Shells and Cheese and we like it SOOO much better. If we're out to eat and the kids order Mac and cheese, I'm not concerned if its Kraft. As long as its once in a blue, I personally, don't see the big deal.

The regular supermarket as it. My supermarket has it both with the organic foods and some with the regular Mac n cheese.

Annie makes single serve ones that I buy but it's been harder to find target carries them but the only one I can seem to find them in is the one in Hicksville

My kids prefer Annie's too - white cheddar shells. BJs had a pack of 12 boxes for around $12, very comparable to Kraft price.

I buy Annie's Mac n Cheese in bulk at Costco. They sell a variety pack. My boys love it.

I bought Annies the other day only bc there was no Kraft on the shelf at Target - so it was by default, but it was REALLY good.

We stopped letting ds have red 40, and eventually decided he can not have any food dyes. We stopped purchasing Kraft a long time ago. He eats Annie's or natural something from Bj's (can't remember the name)

You can definitely get Annie's in the health food aisle at Stop and Shop. It is also available at Whole Foods and Fairway. Also, Trader Joe's has an organic boxed Mac and Cheese product. If you want frozen Mac and Cheese, Amy's Kitchen sells a good one that has primarily organic ingredients and no GMOS. With so many easy to purchase alternatives why feed your child something that contains these toxins?

You can also buy Annies on Amazon. They sell them in bulk packs and if you are a prime member its free 2 day shipping!
