I was a book worm. I had so many favorites
-The Babysitters Club - The one in the Middle is a Green Kangaroo - Karen Kepplewhite is the Worlds Best Kisser - Amelia Bedelia - Arthurs Halloween Costume - Bread & Jam for Frances - Frog & Toad - Charlottes Web - Beatrix Potter - Harriet the Spy
So many more. I would LOVE when we got the Troll book order sheets & have the book fairs at school.

Re: What books from childhood were your favorite?
I LOVED the Babysitters Club.. I read every book I think.
I also used to read a lot of the R.L. Stine teen suspense books.. I don't remember the titles. Those were really good.
And of course, Judy Bloom!

Re: What books from childhood were your favorite?
Did anyone read "the sleepover friends?"
I used to love these, although the 80's slang threw me off sometimes

I remember being three years old and reading Word Bird and the letter Sound Box books. I loved them! When I was older I loved The Baby-Sitters Club series, Beverly Cleary books and the Goosebumps series.

Did you ever read the Gift of Magic? That was my favorite around 5th /6th grade or so, and the only kid book I held onto. I also liked Killing Mr. Griffin, and I Know What you did Last Summer & the Third Eye, but I dont' think I read any of teh ones you posted. ( I may be older than you.)
I loved Encyclopedia Brown, Boxcar Children, all the Ramona books, Jud Blume's Fudge books, Babysitters Club.
I never read Ann of Green Gable, or any of the Sweet Valley High/Twins books, een thoguh A lot of my friends did. I'm not sure why, except that I favored mysteries.
I also used to buy used books from the libaray & really like some old series abotu kids that went to stay with their grandmother in the country--I have no idea what it was called.

I loved all Judy Blume...the Super Fudge series.
My favorite in the 6th grade was "Just as long as we are together" by Judy Blume.
Also..
Babysitters Club Beatrix Potter Anne of Green Gables
I read so much as a kid and am drawing such a blank!
My favorite book as a little kid was "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" I was so excited when the movie came out...half of my friends had never heard of it! lol

I read all of those, except maybe The Third Eye? Not sure. I LOVED The Gift of Magic, and remember looking for it again when I was older, but never being able to find it. :( I want to go look for all of these now.
