What can I do for terrible back pain
I feel like I have a giant knot in my back. I can't bend or move forward to grab anything. Lets not even go into the challenge I have when I have to go to the bathroom and trying to take my pants down or lift them up. Trying to grab a ringing phone I hung up on someone because the pain was so bad I just dropped the phone.
What can I do to at least alevate some of the pain.

Re: What can I do for terrible back pain
Depending on where the pain is, you may need to see a physical therapist or chiropractor. My OB suggested I see the PT that works at her office (insurance covers it) when I was 26 weeks due to back pain. It ended up being my SI joint. This is a common ailment in pregnancy - the hormone Relaxin loosens everything and your joints can shift and move and get "stuck." I see the PT regularly now and she is a godsend! I saw her this morning. I could barely walk this weekend and I am feeling all better now. I also take prenatal yoga and remind the instructor before each class of the SI problem. She tells me what not to do and gives me additional stretches to help the pain.

Re: What can I do for terrible back pain
Thanks for the articles. This has got to be the worst back pain I've ever felt. I am going to give this a few days and if it continues then I'll call my OB and see what I can do. It started last night.
The pain is mostly on the right side of my back right in the middle. When I move or bend the pain shoots up and down. I was getting out of my car and almost fell out of the car because the pain just hit me like a ton of bricks.

Pre-natal yoga helped me alot with back pain relief. All of the stretching is great.

No problem! I found a lot more online when I was first experiencing the pain. If you google back pain and pregnancy or pregnancy and SI joint you will get a lot to read. I hope you find a way to feel better!
