What can I take for a sinus headache that's safe for nursing?
PLEASE tell me there's something I can take... tylenol isn't making a dent, nor is caffeine, and I'm about to cry my head hurts soooooooooo bad

I'd recommend Sudafed -- brand name (generic name pseudoephedrine). It does enter breastmilk to some extent, but the American Association of Pediatrics rates it as compatible with breastfeeding.
Just be sure not to get one of the products with phenylephrine -- there is no information on the safety of that with breastfeeding.

I have had a lot of problems with my sinuses but was told not to take anything - mainly b.c things like sudafed can diminish your milk supply. I have been using steam, spicy foods and tylenol when it is bad - it's not the best but it has worked enough to be comfortable.

This is what I have been told as well. I have been taking long hot showers, have a humidifier in every room and I have been using saline spray alot. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well

I really don't think that an occasional dose will dry up somebody's milk supply. If somebody is so uncomfortable that they are going to cry, you need to treat the person. If it would work to dry up a mom's supply, wouldn't we give it to everybody who either didn't want to nurse, or wanted to stop?

Thank you everyone for your advice Thankfully, with a hot shower, and some rest, it went away. If it comes back, I may try a little sudafed - I'm weaning Yael soon so if it dries up my supply, all the better!
