That is indeed yours The granite is Ouro Brazil. We went with maple. Dina-I walk in my kitchen everyday and just love it We are so happy with the way it turned out!
That's beautiful- love the granite...
the color looks amazing w/ your natural light...
I am glad you love it- I know it's certainly a "process" and it can oftentimes be crazy... but it all came together!

Re: What color for kitchen cabinets
I chose cream do to the fact that my kitchen is small and I thought the cherry would make it darker My granite is dark, but I think it looks great with the lighter cabinets

We have Cherry although I do love the antique finish I would just be afraid that in a few years it will be considered outdated. Our kitchen isnt finished though.

Re: What color for kitchen cabinets
We redid our kitchen and went with dark cherry and I couldn't be happier, I just love the color or the dark ,rich wood. It sets off the granite and stainless appliances beautifully. Plus with a baby, I didn't want to deal with light colored anything.

Re: What color for kitchen cabinets
We just redid our kitchen and I chose cream (a very light cream that looks white, unless you compare it to white and then you can tell it's cream!). Ours are a solid finish, I'm not crazy about the glazed look.
I knew I wanted this look and didn't even entertain the idea of doing anything else (this is pretty profound for an indecisive gal like me!), but there are some things to keep in mind with light colored cabinets:
Our cabinets are real wood and since wood expands and contracts with temperature fluctuations, you will, over time, start to see little hairline cracks in the painted finish. If this is something that will bother you, you're better off going with the stained cherry. It will do the same thing, but the lines will be much less obvious on the dark finish.
As far as cleaning goes, I find them to be no worse than my dark cabinets. I have dark stained cherry in my bathroom, and some black painted cabinets in my kitchen and they show dust much quicker than the cream cabinets do.
Hope that helps!

Re: What color for kitchen cabinets
We have both. we don't have a window in our kitchen since it opens into the family room which is all windows. I love the richness of the cherry (ours have a Java glaze) but I think with the amount of cabinets I have it would have been too dark if I had done them all that color. I was not a white/cream cabinet fan and now I LOVE the way it looks.

I went from a white kitchen to a cherry(well more like mahogany) kitchen and couldn't be more pleased. The white was an absolute PITA with kids and fingerprints! I happen to love how warm and rich cherry is throughout a home. Here are a few pics to give you an idea. We just finished last week so I'm thrilled of course. You can see down my hall into my diningroom and my steps, everything is the same stain color. I also wasn't sure how the antique white would go with all my white molding. I have white doors, box molding and crown molding in all of my rooms and that was a consideration for me. I think either way you go, it will be beautiful IMAGE

Your kitchen is beautiful!
Can I ask about your backsplash? We have very similar cabinets and granite. I have yet to do the backsplash because I am so worried that it will clash with my granite. Do you remember any info about the tiles used for your backsplash? I think it would match my granite perfectly. Thanks!

Re: What color for kitchen cabinets
Sure it's tumbled travertine from Lowes. My DH did it all himself. We came up with the design over the stove with a couple of bull noses and square sheets turned diagonal. It was not expensive to do al all
