You know how I feel on this one Nance....we have discussed many times. They changed this shot many yrs ago so it no longer contains the same high levels of Mercury that it once did. But like I said if you are that worried about it get the shots broken up. Whatever is going to make you comfortable.

I think it could be one environmental trigger.

Many people don't understand that the original connection between the MMR and autism had nothing to do with mercury (although it's great that it's out of the shots now). The connection came from a study that showed the MMR strand of the measels in the guts of autistic children, but not in the guts of their non-autistic counterparts. The idea is that autistic children are not able to rid their systems of environmental toxins the way that non-autistic children can.

I do not know ONE doctor who has not vaccinated their children. Why would a ped actually knownly put children at risk? I am NOT saying that medical professionals know everything but to do it on purpose..well that is a different story IMO.

I, for one, have seen FIRST hand what can happen when a child is not given a vaccine. There are people whose children DIE all because there is no vaccine for simple things like Polio. A met an 8 year old girl whose legs are twisted and she can barely walk...why...POLIO! Imagine if her mother had been given the opportunity to protect her child.
