I used to call him "my nose"... I forget why exactly, but something to do with him recognizing where his nose was very early on. And Nose felt short for Noah, in a way

I still call him my nose. Kind of weird but I think it could be worse lol

my son is peter joseph...we sometimes call him PJ. i call him monkey alot because thats been my nickname fr him since he was in my belly...but we do call him peter too bc he's a newborn and we want him to get used to his real full name

I tend to call people by their full names (unless introduced otherwise). My name is Cassandra & growing up people always tried to cut it short, calling me Cass, Cassie, CJ and I'd always correct them. Cassandra is my name so don't try to make up a new one for me. lol. I'm the same way where it concerns DD & any other children who come along. In fact when coming up with a name for her I specifically tried to think of one that nobody COULD cut short. That doesn't mean I don't have silly nicknames for her, but that probably won't continue much further than her preschool years. lol.

DD is Annabella...she is 22 months and the short name most call her is Anna...and she refers to herself that way as do the other kids in her daycare class...I guess it is too hard to say the name in full. DH calls her Annabee a lot and sometimes she repeats him.

Well he's Tommy (short for Thomas after his dad) so we call him Buddy a lot

My dd is Emily Kate, and we mostly call her Emme Kate. I feel like we call her Emme Kate more than we call her Emily. Poor kid must be confused.

DS is Ryan so I usually shorten it to Ry. Sometimes Ry Ry or Ry guy. I'm afraid he's not actually going to learn his name b/c I never call him by his full name! I also call him Mr. Baby alot b/c we were team and I got used to calling him "baby". When he came out it changed to Mr. Baby since he's a boy.

We started calling him Booger when he was little because he always had colds and his nose was always running. We shortened it to Boogs and to this day, we both still call him Boogs, almost 2 years later.

Ryan:

I have been calling him Ry or RyRy.

Aaron was Peanut before he was born and Ryan was Jelly Bean.

I call him Em, but that is a girl's nickname. There really isn't a good nickname for him, unfortunately. I call him Little Man, but that can;t last forever

This is how my mom was when I was little. People would call me Jill and she would say "If I wanted her to be called Jill I would've named her that. Her name is Jillian." I'll give you one guess what she calls me now

I always call him Constantine. Kinda long, too many syllables, but whatever. I NEVER had a nickname and always wanted one.

I think Tine/Tino is catching on as his little friends call him.

We played around with Dean/Dino for a little while but I don't think it suits him.

Gus is also a contender...maybe in 70 years like his grandpa

I gave my girls names that couldn't be shortened for this reason. I don't like the nickname mia for Amelia, and kate is just Kate.

I call Amelia a slew of different names. Kate is bubba, she just looks like a bubba.
