What do you eat for lunch at work?

I'm getting super bored with my usual protein bar + fruit... plus my local Stop & Shop has stopped carrying the flavor of Zone bar that I like

What do you all make/eat/bring for lunch at work? I'd hate to start bringing frozen meals, b/c they're so high in sodium!

Leftovers, soup, sandwiches, salads or lots of snacky items like pretzels, dip, cheese and yogurt - we used to order out a LOT but everyone is trying to eat healthier and save money. If we do order out, it's usually pizza.

Ugh so sick of everything.

I try to make and bring salads but it's a lot of work to cut everything up and but it all together the night before.

I am so lazy so the frozen meals or a can of soup are usually my go to's but I know they aren't great.

Or I end up spending a fortune buying stuff for lunch around here.

I usually cook something on Sundays and pack it in containers for lunches for the week.

This week I did a stir fry of thin rice noodles, tofu, and loads of veggies in a spicy sauce.

Other weeks it'll be pasta primavera, chili over rice, pasta with sauce and soy crumbles, falafel patties with hummus and pita and a salad on the side, soup, etc etc etc.

DH is vegetarian too, so I make a LOT on Sundays to pack it for the workweek. It saves loads of money.

If I'm in a rut, then I throw together sandwiches.

Some weeks I'll have salads (the prepackaged ones from the supermarket), or PB&J, or ham/cheese...salami/cheese...turkey/cheese.

I try and boil eggs on a Sunday and peel them so that they're ready to go. I have aspirations of washing grapes and cutting up cheese and packing that up with crackers on Sunday so that I have this stuff ready to go during the week but it never happens that way.

As far as actual food, leftovers (which for me is one f five meals every single week) or crappy sandwiches.

Lately I've been trying to leave things in the office fridge like cottage cheese, cut up fruit, yogurt (and I bring granola with me) and I'll eat that as the week goes by

Leftovers. But every few weeks I make a batch of brown rice with peppers and onions and chicken. I'll separate into 5 containers and grab one each morning. It's delicious and holds me over for a while after lunch.

I also boil eggs for the week too and have one every morning with an English muffin and piece of fruit.

I don't currently work, but when I did I loved to bring the little hummus cups and things to dip in it (pita bread, carrots, cucumbers, celery, etc.) Or I would bring a greek yogurt with fresh fruit to mix it. I also did sandwiches, mostly cheese and lettuce. Or if I had good leftovers from dinner I would bring those. Sometimes I'd make a cold pasta salad with lots of vegetables. I try to eat healthy but I bring a lot of fruits and vegetables to munch on throughout the day and I always bring a few unhealthy treats as well (like a cookie) reserved for a bad day! lol.

I usually cook on Sundays for the week. This week its: lentil soup, stuffed zucchini boats and veal cutlets with grilled eggplants.

I try to search for different ideas on Pinterest. So far so good

Usually salad or soup....occasionally (ok, often) Chipotle or Pad Thai.

I'm not a big cold cut person and I have trouble eating reheated food.

Hence why I'm a poor chunker.

i eat leftovers. today was stuffed peppers i made last night. i was eating a bagel with cream cheese for a few weeks. i am making a batching of lasagna roll ups which i will have this week. turkey and cheese sandwich sometimes when i get cold cuts. usually a yogurt and a piece of fruit are snacks for me.

I usually prepare lunches on Sundays and wrap them up for the week. I make salads, whole wheat pasta with sauce/vegetables, and chili a lot. They're easy enough to pack up. Sometimes I'll make sandwiches, and once in a rare while, I will buy lunch.

Protien shake for Bkfst and Lunch - it's made my life SO much easier and I save a fortune ......(and lose weight )

I eat a lot of salads and prepare them ahead of time, usually on Sundays. If you layer the ingredients properly, I have found that the salad will stay fresh for several days.

Salad in a jar

I don't use a jar, just a tall plastic container. And I don't fill it all of the way to the top with ingredients that way I can shake it and eat it out of the same container.

I will also make things like quiche (I'll make two or three at a time and then freeze the extra) and use that during the week.
