What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
Does DC go after them and get it back, let them take it, cry?

He goes after it. He isn't good at sharing, we need to work on that.

Sometimes she'll cry, other times she'll just move on to something else. And she's guilty of stealing things out of other kids' hands too

I usually give hiim the sharing talk, and find him another toy to play with, and then give the toy back to the kid.

But if a kid grabs something out of Noahs hand how does he respond?

Matthew will go and get it back. Christopher will just look at you and cry. My boys do it to each other ALL the time.

* If the toy is swiped out of her hands...
She'll scream and cry and will try her hardest to get it back.

It varies. Sometimes she'll grab it back and sometimes she'll just look at the other kid like "why'd you do that?".
I've found depending on who she's playing with, she'll take on a passive or aggressive role.

Same here - its really bad lately. She will scream anytime the swiper comes near her the rest of the play date in fear they will take it again. It's exhausting. We are working on sharing...

He goes after it to get it back...he whines while doing it and also has been known to hit if the other child has too strong of a hold on the toy.
We are trying to work on it.

Re: What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
DS will go after the toy, and if he can't get it back, he'll try to scratch. Now in fairness, I don't think it's fair for something to ripped out of his hands, but I certainly don't promote his aggresive attitude to get it back. We're working on it.

As of now when she sees their hand coming towards the toy she grabs their arm and starts yelling (in baby language) at them. Then if they get it successfully she will cry, and grab back.

She does one of three things. Cry, pick up something else and forget about it, or she will reach out and try to take it back. She never rips it away from another child - but she will occasionally reach out and take it back.

She will scream, cry and do whatever it takes to get the toy back. I'll intervene before it gets at that point, have the "sharing" talk with her, and try to redirect her.

Re: What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
8 times out of 10 - she will let the other child take the toy and play with something else nearby.
There have been few issues with a tug of war ensuing and she gets a perplexed look on her face and then angry. No crying or hitting yet, but I'm closely watching as I think that may not be too far off

Re: What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
Kerri is taking more of a passive role and just lets the other child take the toy then gets upset. She will never grab a toy out of anothers childs hand though. Just hoping she becomes a little more assertive

DD was always like this and we were proud of her for just walking away and finding another toy but also wanted her to stick up for herself but now it's the extreme opposite and I feel like her screaming, kicking and having full blown tantrums is worse because it sets the tone for the rest of our day. I am hoping it's just a phase.
I want to add it definitely depends on which kid it is if she takes a passive or aggressive role

Re: What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
He's 10 months, and up until a couple weeks ago, he did nothing. Just found another toy and kept playing. Now he has started to get mad. If the kid takes off with it, he does nothing, but if they both have a grip on it, he tugs back.

Re: What does your DC do when another kid takes a toy out of their hand?
He gets another toy. He is pretty non-confrontational so far. The only time he had a reaction (as far as we know) was when one of his classmates hit him to get the toy. He went up to them and stuck out his finger and said "no" then walked away.
