i interchanged enfamil and similac for the first few months.
DS had some reflux so i switched to enfamil AR lipil and similac sensitive RS.
enfamil, similac and goodstart are very similar. it's really a matter of preference and what your baby can tolerate best.
there's no "best" formula out there.

In my opinion formula is trial by error. I had to switch 3x's with DS because the gas was too much. He eventually did very well with Gentlease. This time around, if I cant sucessfully breastfeed I will try Enfamil Gentlease and Good Start Gentle Plus.

probably whatever the hospital started DC on, but whatever Costco stocks is also a factor.

We started with Similac Advanced - that's what NSUH Manhasset uses. For DS we went through 5-6 formulas before landing on one that worked for him (Similac Sensitive) which is one of the unfortunate things you may have to deal with in the first few weeks / months.

We started with Similac Advance (that's what the hospital used) and when we got home Kaydyn was very gassy so we tried Similac Soy and finally landed on Similac Sensitive and she was a totally different baby and she stayed on that until almost 14 months.

i went with enfamil lipil because that's what the dr wanted him on in the hospital (i tried breastfeeding and it didn't work, i pump and supplement) but he started getting a lot of gas so i just switched him to good start the green can i think it's gentle plus. it's supposed to be easier to digest. just go with what the doctor wants you to use in the hospital

The hospital used Similac Advance so I continued with that (after BF didn't work out) and so far so good.
