What happens at the end of a Car lease
I lease a Toyota and was wondering what happens when you are close to you end date? Do they contact you? Do you have to return it to the same dealer? If you do not lease a Toyota again do they charge for every scratch? My dealer said he will contact me a year before to buy my lease out and get me a new car.

What happens at the end of a Car lease
nobody contacted me. i went with a different brand of car, i turned in my lease to them when i bought new car. They handled the trade. i wasn't charged for anything, but i cleaned and vacuumed car before i turned it in. i returned a ford to nissan...no problem, they told me they will take care of it and they did. i did nothing.

Same for me. I went from Infiniti to a Honda with no problem. I even traded it in 6 months early with not problem. Honda pays the extra payments. My car was in great condition, but I'm sure had a few little scratches. I just made sure it was nice and clean when I brought it in. Very easy trade.
