What is considered a good overall cholestoral number?

I know there is good and bad cholestoral, etc- but the total cholestoral number- what should it be?
I know they say under 200 is good- but how much lower than 200 would be considered "safe"?

OK. I got my results back and they were 166 total.
I guess that's ok then!

You also want to look at the triglyceride , hdl, LDL breakdown. Also, the ratio is important.

Yes I just looked at the lab report with all of that info and did some googling regarding normal limits etc.

Yes I just looked at the lab report with all of that info and did some googling regarding normal limits etc.
