he loves my old world escarole and beans...with grilled chicken on top....he asks for it so much i am actually sick of it and if i make it, i make myself something else...(if anyone wants the recipe, just google old world escarole beans and my allrecipes link comes up)
he loves spicy boneless pork chops
loves when i do a big fat porter house sliced for 2 with wasabi mashed and steamed broccoli
for the people that cant cook...i think honestly that anyone can try a recipe..how hard is it to put steak on a broiler plate and season it with salt. ..or dropping broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes and then draining it and putting butter on top. thats cooking and its insanely easy....
i claimed to be the non cook my while life...and once i tried a few simple recipes...i gained confidence..
i think anyone should try it a few times...its very relaxing

i marinate chicken breasts in a ginger teriyaki glaze and cook them in the oven while i saute some mushrooms in a pan with garlic and EVOO -- then, i sprinkle the mushrooms on top and then put cheddar on that - let it broil in the oven for another five minutes so the cheese melts and gets a little golden brown and he RAVES about that. it takes ten minutes, lol!
he also loves my chicken fajitas -- goes crazy for them and my alfredo shrimp penne pasta! i sometimes make him avocado burgers and i saute onions or mushrooms and top the burger with that and he thinks it is great too -- real simple stuff but he loves it!

Anything I make he loves but his favorites are:
chicken cutlets
chicken parm
chicken in white suace (this is is ultimate fave and was the first thing I ever made him.....a way to a man's heart...)
crockpot lasagna
jambalaya
pot roast, noodles and gravy
and etc...

I agree completely, and i just want to add that you feel so good when a meal comes out good and your DH or family really enjoys it. I used to be a non-cook, and then i got married and started trying out recipes and i get so many ideas from the food network shows and website. It really is rewarding! I love it

risotto
beef stew
lentil soup
white bean and escarole soup
Oh and lasagna - I make it Northern Italian style so instead of ricotta I make a bechamel sauce and layer with that and bolognese. Its so yummy but A LOT of work!

We usually cook together. But I have this recipe where I cover chicken with paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and then saute them in olive oil. He really likes how the chicken comes out.

My DH is NOT fancy at all 
He is crazy about my pancakes, baked zitti and the French's onion crusted chicken recipe on the jar of French's onions. It's so easy, but he loves it!

This is how my family makes their lasagna. We are from Northern Italy - so bechamel sauce is a staple in our pasta dishes. It's the only way I prefer my lasagna made.
