Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
Totally agree on the not having enough work!
But also, there was one time that I missed a deadline at work. It didn't affect the client, the account, anyone at work, nothing. Granted, if I had done it weeks late, that would've been another story but we're talking about a couple of days. It was an honest mistake. My supervisor never let me forget it and didn't trust me to do anything ever again after that.

Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
My old job taught me that I could never work with the public. I worked at a supermarket for six years. I was screamed at and cursed at on a daily basis. I cried basically every day for those six years but it was "too convenient" to quit.
The "kids" took advantage of me and would show up to work high and I would have to cover for them. The older women hated me because they had worked there for 20+ years and I was their supervisor.
I cannot believe I was humiliated daily for all those years.

After 9/11, putting my regional manager in his place after he made a general comment on all Middle eastern people knowing my DH is Guyanese. Very Rude and I wasnt having it.

Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
honestly-- in what I do, most days are difficult-- Very stressful and time sensitive stuff. Although, it does vary week to week. I love what I do-- but, I am too old to be dealing with this shite... We'll see how many more years I can take. Once I have a kid-- I don't know how I will do it. I can barely manage my life as it is.

every day of my last job was difficult. I dreaded getting out of bed every morning and was anxious all of the time.

Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
Now, I have zero work to do. Hate this job, and I'm already setting myself up for a new one in the fall. I'm bored to death here = no promotion or growth, and I can't deal with that.

Getting yelled at for no reason and talked to like I'm an idiot on a daily basis from one sexist, CREEP of a co-worker who can go to HELL.

Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
This is when I was about 19. I worked in a bar and teh owners were dating. they were nutcases and would get in fights in the kitchen and throw plates andknives(yes...KNIVES!) at each other. One night someone came in and I spoke to him briefly as he was an aquaintance. Then he got into a fight later and the male boss fired me because he said I was "bringing my friends in starting fights."
Then he preceded to call my house for weeks begging me to come back. I finally did because the $$ was great but i made him sweat it out! A few months later they sold it to some respectable older guys who were great

Well right now, it is being hired as a manager and having to help answer the phones which I was not informed of beforehand That and having to take an assigned lunch and ask to leave at night.

Re: What is the most difficult time you had at your job?
UGh, I had one female boss that was nuts. Even when I took the job, SO MANY were like "YOU HAVE NOOOO idea what youre getting yourself into!" SHe was OBSESSED with controlling my every second, she expected me to work through lunch and stay late. I did neither of the two purposely and it made her insane. She'd poke around the office looking for me while I was at lunch. She wanted me to be nasty to the girls that worked under me, and I refused. If they did their job, what power does it give you to be nasty to employees??? You LOSE productivity, genius! I even baked one a cake for her bday to really get on some nerves. lol. We were at a meeting and the CEO of the company asked for new employees to be introduced and she introduced me and he goes "isnt this the third one this year???WOW I see it must be a joy to work for you!" and there was a tense, strange silence in the room, I LOVED it So although she stressed me out, it was nice to know that everyone KNEW she was the wacko, not me She was a controlling wife and mother. I mean she could take the prize.
Once at a meeting a vendor was showing her samples (lingerie) and a "sample" size is 34B, well she looks at the bra, and goes "THIS???????????? Is a 34B ?? This IS NOTTTTTTT a 34B! and she flung it across the table and asked him to come back with a 34B! nasty psycho. She kept MANY vendors waiting for HOURS when I told them I had a feeling she'd be a while (I knew her games).. but they waited anyway and at the last second, she let them drop off the samples at the front and leave without even seeing her!
Id love to do a phone tap on her
So after this job, I SWORE Id never work for a female boss again and I winded up having the best female boss after her. an amazing, admirable and just wonderful boss, friend, mom and person who I still keep in touch with close to ten years later.
Sorry to ramble.
Boredom is another killer for me. It makes me NUTTTTSSS to sit doing nothing.
