My dream job with no restrictions would be to open up a special needs school to deal with children who have mental issues, anxiety, ocd, etc. that can not handle school but are academically on par. There is no school on LI that does this and it is much needed.
If salary mattered, then I would do what I did prior to being a SAHM. A crisis manager for an investment bank. I LOVED my job and miss it daily.

Re: What is your "dream job"?
Dream Job: Own a bookshop or B&B (like the Holiday Inn!)
Money Matters: HR Manager or higher. I have the degrees, have spent most of my previous job doing all the HR, but would love to do just that. So if anyone knows of any place that's hiring....

if money were no object i'd love to either have a chocolate shop or a stationery shop.
If salary were important, I'd like to be an event coordinator, party planner. although these days my patience for people gets less and less..lol.
Don't worry because Event Coordinators and Planners don't make that much money unless you hit it big and work for the celebrities. When you break down the cost per event and hours you put in it doesn't come to as much as people think!

Similar for both questions. Working with animals in some capacity. If money were no issue - rescuing animals / volunteering. For question 2, I'd probably be a vet.

If money were no object I would probably volunteer to fundraise for pediatric cancers.
If I needed money, I'd be an ER doc. I've always regretted not going to med school and though ER docs are among the lowest paid, the fast pace and quick decision making always appealed to me.

Re: What is your "dream job"?
I'll be the oddball here and just say I already AM in my dream job. I love what I do - practice law (I know, so rare to admit that). I have a very nice working environment (in house- low billable requirement) where I am at my desk from 9 to 5-6ish every day and at least 2 or 3 days each week I am either in court or arbitrations. I have flexiblity to work from home, I get decent benefits/pension, plus good vacation time (32 PTO days this year).
If money were no object (ie I was born rich), I'd either own some type of business or do philanthropy projects ala Bill Gates Foundation and would donate lots of $$ toward medical/cancer research, and helping 3rd world countries battle famine, political unrest, etc.

Re: What is your "dream job"?
If money was no object I would open a residential program for adults with autism with all the Bells and whistles or a school for students with behavior needs or autism who could be included with other students with proper support.
If salary was important, I would like to go back to being a coordinator for students with autism. I left being a coordinator because I missed teaching and now I wish I could go back.

Re: What is your "dream job"?
If I'm dreaming... I would be yoga instructor teaching classes while my children were at school, and I'd teach yoga to kids after school, in an after school program so their parents wouldn't have to drive all over to get them to the class. I'd have time for my children in the morning and after school, and still be fulfilled during the day. I'd work about 4 hours a day.
It would be the type of job where I could pick up and go anywhere and do it. Like on a tropical island somewhere and teach yoga to tourists at a ritzy resort, and still teach children at school.
In my dreams, I'd have a kick-ass tight body and look amazing in every type of spandex. I'd be strong, fit, calm, relaxed and centered, and rock my husband's world every night.
After fantasizing about that job, I can't really fathom any other job....

If money were no object, I would probably want to be some sort of a party planner..
If money were important and the requirements were met, I would want to be either 1. A full time education professor where I could schedule my classes to be like 3 days/week or even do some online courses... Would love to have a Tues, Wed, Thurs job with school breaks and summers off
or
2. dean of undergrad or grad education for a college

Billionaire. Maybe I could be a surprise heiress to some hermit billionaire that no one knows?
I'd love to bake though- to do custom cakes, and especially cookies full time.

Years ago I saw a question similar to this on LIF - "what's your dream job if money were no object?" and at that moment I thought that I'd be a child psychologist if I could. That got me thinking and I researched what I needed to do - get a post-bacc in psych since I was an econ major and then grad school. I told my husband it was what I wanted, applied to Columbia's post-bacc program, got in, quit my job and now many years later, I'm a psychologist.
If money mattered, I'd still be the same thing. I make a good amt for the 6-10 hours I work a week.
Love this -- anything is possible!

Re: What is your "dream job"?
If money didn't matter, I would love to work for a charity organization that donated money to improve lives of others. Like Make A Wish or something. It must feel good to be able to make people who face adversity happy.
If salary mattered...I flip flop between being an orthopedic surgeon or being into investments. On one hand, it would be nice to help people and make a difference, on the other it would be nice to know how to effectively manage and make money. If I knew how to do that, maybe I could be a philanthropist which will also help me help people and feel good about myself LOL

A kept woman....
Seriously. I was just recently saying to someone that I wish my mother had encouraged me to focus on being a trophy wife rather than an independent woman. My life would be hella easier if I was skinny, had a better nose, great hair extensions and a wealthy husband. LOL
