one tip...that worked like a charm....

get a girdle and wear it from the beginning in the hospital. Then go smaller as you need to. I was wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes at 8 days post partum. My sister in law did the same thing and it worked for her as well!!!

I just ordered this from amazon. Will this do the trick??

get one size larger than your normal size and then get your normal size. where it all of the time around the clock. I did this for 6 to 8 weeks. I have no pooch or fat over my c-section incision!!! best advice I recieved from an 80 year old woman ever. she said that they did this years ago.

Re: What is your weight loss plan for after baby comes?

Once I can hit the gym I am going back hardcore. I still have weight to lose from my first son (which I never focused on since I knew I would be preggo again soon)

My goal is to be back to my prepregnancy weight by April just in time for the nice weather. I am giving myself some time to heal from the c-section but after that it's going to be no joke!

I'm also hoping that dealing with a newborn and chasing after a toddler will help me along! Chat Icon

I'll be honest..I never completely lost the weight after having my first son Chat Icon I could not get the last 10 off but I didnt try hard enough, I know that now...

This saturday I will rejoin WW. ITs really the only thing that keeps me on track...My son will be 4 weeks then, I think its a good time to start. I am pumping a few times a day and burning SOME calories but I sure make up for it when I stuff my face w/cookies! Chat Icon

I plan on being so busy chasing after the baby and having little time to eat.Chat Icon

In all seriousness, though I really want to incorporate more healthy foods into my diet and for anything, for my daughter's sake. I do NOT want her to grow up with a lousy diet like mine.Chat Icon

I think with TTC this year, I knew I was going to get fat again.

Since I think this is our last baby, big life changes ahead.

Re: What is your weight loss plan for after baby comes?

Not much - we'll see what the year brings. 2 under 2 is going to be difficult enough, I'm not going to stress over weight loss.

I'm assuming I'll be getting my exercise from chasing DS. We'll go for walks too.

Personally, I found BF did squat as far as weight loss - I still ate like I was PG and was starving all the time. But I will be BF, so maybe that'll help too.

Training for a marathon?

I don't know but I'm going to try! I was training for the NYC marathon before I got pregnant, so I will continue to run during my pregnancy until I can't anymore. I can forfeit my guaranteed entry in the NYC marathon to next year so I'm going to give it a try. Baby due in April, training starts in mid-May/June- ahhhh!

Re: What is your weight loss plan for after baby comes?

With my DS I just went back to eating the way I did b/f - I was BF so i didn't restrict calories but, I ate completely healthy and no junk at all ever really and exercised when I could. It took longer than I expected but, I did get back to my pre-preg weight. In fact, I weighed the same exact thing at my 8wk visit this time around.

That said, as a BTDT mom - you really can't plan how to lose the weight b/f the baby is here. It may work out but, it may not. For me so many of the things I thought would happen didn't. Like, even though i exclusively BF for 10 mos it did not help me lose weight AT ALL. Also, I was a BIG runner b/f getting pregnant and thought I would run right after but, it was VERY hard with BF - my chest was so heavy and sore and engorged I really couldn't run like I used to until I stopped BF - also I had read some things about running and BF that made me reconsider. And, DS was a very high maintenance baby and, on top of that I didn't feel comfortable leaving him in a gym "daycare" and when I had someone to watch him I had a million other things to do besides exercise.

Just wanted to put this out there b/c things were SO much different than I expected - but, that didn't mean I didn't lose the weight and eventually fit back into all my pre-preg clothes Chat Icon

Re: What is your weight loss plan for after baby comes?

I plan on trying to BF again, and if that doesn't work, I'll pump for at least the first month. I lost 40lbs with pregnancy #1 doing that (after having only put on 14lbs total the entire pregnancy).

PLUS, I'm going to kick-up my exercise routine and walk with my babies in the stroller.

Re: What is your weight loss plan for after baby comes?

so far i have only gained 1lb BUT i was overweight when I got pregnant so I want to lose whatever baby weight I gain + about 30lbs. My plan is to do weight watchers (the local meeting is on my block, just around the corner) and my co-workers are planning to start a group at work this year...so that should be some motivation. I wish I could do some walking or other outdoor cardio (rollerblading/biking) but im due late december so i will probably be doing some tapes or exerciseo n demand while the baby naps

Thanks for the tip! I'm so nervous about my stomach going back to it's pre-pregnancy weight. I went to proof my wedding album yesterday, and thought to myself I need to have my body back. Although I am breastfeeding, I plan on walking this weight off (lots of hills in my neighborhood) lifting weights and taking the stuff out of my diet that I wouldn't touch pre-pregnancy.
