What kind of car do you drive?
I have an '08 Nissan Rogue and loveddddddd it until DD came along. I still love the way it drives, the trunk space, etc... BUT the big problem is that with the carseat in, DH can't really sit in the passenger seat because his legs are practically going through the windsheild.
Just curious what others are driving and if you would or wouldn't recomment it (and also if that opinion would change if you had more kids?).
Thanks!

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I have a Hyundai Elantra. With 2 carseats in the back. I LOVE my car, but it's a bit tight. DH is okay sitting in the passanger seat, but he hates driving it because he says he can't put the seat back enough with the carseat behind him.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I have a Buick Enclave. It's a crossover with a 3rd row. I would absolutely recommend it, its the best car/truck I've ever driven. It's 7 passenger and I have the Captain's chairs for the second row seating, plus a full third row.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
MAZDA6 - LATCH system AJ is in the middle
Love it for gas milage and ease.. but not great for huge hauling. Still good for grocery runs, errands, mall trips with AJ
Jim sits in the back with AJ when i drive.. still.. Daddy's girl what can i say
Second:
MAZDA TRIBUTE - LATCH system AJ is in the middle LOVE this for the baby. Bought it a few years back in case we had kids. Great for SUV style but still reasonable milage. Great in snow Great for hauling stuff AND people. With this my aunt can sit in the front easier.
Love my tribute and so glad i got it for AJ

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I have the Nissan Murano. We have the infant seat on 1 side and a Britax Marathon on the other. DH is 6'1" and doesn't have trouble fitting. Sure, the passenger seat is up further than he would LIKE it to be, but he does fit okay.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I'm currently driving DH's Chrysler 300 and I like it. I'm a car person. I was driving our Range Rover but DH has to do some work on it to make me feel safer driving DS so he's been driving that to work. The 300 have lots of interior room, front and back and the trunk is spacious. I can fit both my peg perego stroller and the snap n' go in there. Not that I usually do all the time.
I do miss the Rover's bigger trunk/tailgate but I really do like driving a car better.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I love, love, love my minivan. Yes I said it but I really do. Never thought I would want one but I begged DH to trade in my Trailblazer and get one. The seating is great. The 60/40 split in the back is great and so easy to use. All the power doors are awesome with kids. I really don't have one bad thing to say. The only thing I think they should invent is 6 door mini van but other than that I love it. (I can still get to the back row when I've got an extra kid back there to buckle, which is often now that DD is 4).

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
We had the same problem with DH's pick up truck so we traded it in and got the Jeep Commander. It's great! There is a ton of room and it has a 3rd row just in case you want to travel with some extra people. Love it!

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
We have a VW Jetta and an Acura MDX. The MDX is awesome and huge, but honestly, I'd rather drive the Jetta - it's just smaller and easier to get him in and out of and the trunk is huge. DH prefers the truck, of course

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
We have a 2008 jeep Grand cherokee. I love the truck but there is no room. With the 2 infant car seats I am sitting on the dash board and I am only 5'2. My dh is 6'. There is NO room at all. Dh has a jeep liberty. No room in there either. Need something bigger.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
Subaru Forester. I knew understood why so many moms drove these huge SUVs until I had an infant seat in my car.
With the infant seat, it was almost impossible for one of us to sit in the front. When we switched to the convertible, rear facing, it was a little better. When we turned the convertible around, it was a lot better and one of us can now sit comfortably in the front seat.
If I were having a second child, or more, I would definitely consider getting a different car. I don't think the both of us would be able to drive with both kids in the car for at least the first year of the next one's life.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
09 Nissan Murano and I love, love, LOVE it!!! Plenty of space in the back for the car seat, lot's of space for the stroller and groceries, and double sunroofs that Athan really enjoys as he gets older - staring out at the clouds and stars and pointing it all out to me This is my second Murano (had the 04 as well) and I would toatlly recommend it!

A 2 door Mercury Cougar. It is a pain in the a$$ to get DS in the back seat of that baby. I have to get in the backseat to put him in.

I love, love, love my minivan. Yes I said it but I really do.
We've said for a while now that our next car will probably be a minivan, and i actually used to get excited about that I never understood why people were soo anti-minivan, but that's probably b/c my first car was a Ford Aerostar (well, my parents car, but the only thing i drove for years).
Right now, DH sits in the back with DD when we drive and he doesn't mind it at all (the backseat is at least veryyy roomy and even being 6'1", he still has plenty of room). But, we travel alot (long weekends, road trips, Florida, etc), pack up the car alot and the Rogue definitely won't cut it for that stuff. My biggest hang up though is the gas mileage for the minivans and bigger SUVs. For the trips its def worth it, but i'm torn about if its really worth it for the day to day stuff. AND we'd definitely need something different if we have another .
OK, i'm rambling Thank you all for the responses and reviews!!

Re: What kind of car do you drive?
I have a Toyota Camry. I love it! great gas mileage, plenty of space. We tote around an infant and 13 y/o along with all of the gear that they both require (PNP, stroller, baseball gear, diaper bag etc.)
It is a great family car and very inexpensive to maintain
