What kind of lighting do you have in your DC's room?

We didn't have any hi-hats (or any ceiling lighting) upstairs in any of the bedrooms. We put them into Jack's room before he was born (the entrance to the teeny little attic is in his closet)

I feel badly for whoever has to squeeze into the attic if we choose to do them in the babies room.

Hi-hats are my first choice.

I'm now considering just getting a floor lamp. If you have a nice one - where did you get it?

Should I just do the hi-hats and not worry about my uncle getting stuck in my attic?

We have a ceiling fan with dim-able lights.

I have a chandelier with a small dimmable (is that a word??) lamp on her dresser in one bedroom. In the other we have an overhead fixture and another small lamp on the dresser. I like the option of having overhead lighting or a softer lamp light depending on the situation.

DH is a contractor so put in the high hats and a ceiling fan in the center. We also have a lamp on DS dresser that goes with the bedding and theme of the room

Ceiling fans with light kits as well as lamps on their dressers.

I wouldn't do a floor lamp because I'd be nervous about it being knocked over and hurting one of the kids while playing. But I tend to be a little gloom and doom about this stuff.....

there's 3 sets of track lighting (all have a dimmer) and then we have a lamp on her bookcase.

Track lighting wouldn't have been our first choice, but they were already installed in all of the upstairs bedrooms when we moved in. We thought about changing them, but i do like how convinient they are now (being able to control what area of the room you light, and how bright it is...)

A ceiling fan with a light and a lamp on his nightstand. I agree with a PP about the floor lamp. I actually got rid of all of mine when DS was born because I thought they could be dangerous (probably a little obsessive but still )

I have a ceiling fan with a light, a lamp that coordinates with the bedding, AND a nightlight on a switch. I LOVE the nightlight with the switch. At night when I want to check on DS I just switch it on and he isn't bothered by it at ALL (and either am I because I am sensitive to bright light at night).

I am actually not really a fan of high hats in bedrooms - too harsh.

ceiling fan with light and lamp on table..didn't go for standing lamp for when she gets older and tries to pull the thing down..good luck!

DS's room has high hats on a dimmer and DD's has a ceiling fan.
I prefer high hats.

None of our bedrooms had hi-hats when we moved in. DH put them in all three rooms with dimable switches, and also in our den. I am so glad he convinced me to do them.

No other lamp or fan in DS's room.

When the baby starts crawling around a floor lamp can be dangerous. We had a childrens coat tree in Peytons room and she pulled it over and smashed her head. A lamp would be hot in addition.
We have a chandelier and a table lamp in both girls room.

I have a table lamp on top of DD's dresser. We live in a really old house and there is no electric in ceiling. I wish we had a light/celing fan for DDs room. I would definitely stuff your uncle in the attic and have it done!!

I have a floor lamp but it's on the main switch circuit by the entrance door and I have a dimmer.

i didnt want hi hats for the bedrooms, so in ds's room I have a soccer ball fixture as his light. he loves it! but his area rug is a soccer field, so its all a theme.

We do not have ceiling lights anywhere but the kitchen We have lamps in both the girls rooms. I would love a ceiling light of any kind. High hats are good but I love ceiling fans.
I cannot believe it is less than 2 mos away!!
