Momma is still obsessed with her Italian singers - Gianni Morandi is the living end. When she moved here as a teenager, she didn't want to listen to American singers but she changed a bit with the disco days.

Now she's all about Celine Dion and Elton John and Broadway tunes. Plus, her Italian singers. Eros especially.

Dad - he looooves Alabama. Man's from Sicily and he loooooves the country. Kenny Rogers and Alabama mostly. Huge Billy Joel and Beatles fan, too.

Also, he thought that he was John Travolta in 1978, so I think that he still loves disco, too.

My Dad was and is still into Classic rock... he loves music whereas my Mom likes it, but is not that into it. She grew up loving Elvis Presley and The Beatles. She still listens to both.

My dad is a HUGE music fan.
He went to an Alice & Chains Unplugged concert. Currently, he loves John Mayer & Corrinne Bailey Ray!

He also loves Jazz, but growing up he turned us on to the Beatles, and my Mom's A.M. only car radio turned me onto the the " hits of the 60's, 70's & today!" (today being the 80's!)

ETA-- my dad hates Elvis & the Doors with such a passion that it cracks me up!

my dad is a big music person... hes into the 60s and 70s rock... eagles, the who, john mellancamp, tom petty, fleetwood mac ( they're still one of my faves, too cause dad and i used to sit on the living room floor and listen to their records our dance at my wedding was "landslide" ) and he also like some stuff from today- i think he likes linkn park, seether, etc...

my mom listens to whatever he listens to

My mom always listened to CBS FM. She loves Connie Francis and disco and whatever pop was back then. She was never much of a Beatles fan.

My dad have very eclectic taste in music but is a big Bob Dylan fan. He quotes lyrics randomly. Whenever I hear Simon and Garfunkel I think of my dad too.

My parents have 45s galore. Duwop, mainly...but also Beatles and Led Zepp. NOW...they love Josh Groban, Michael Buble and that sort of stuff. They have seen Josh Groban in concert about 6 times in the past year.

BUT my dad loves Gwen Stefani and simply calls her "Hey Baby." As in: I love Hey Baby.

My parents were in their 20s in the 70s- but they mostly listened to (and still listen to) The Beatles, Allman Brothers, Moody Blues, Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Bob Seegar, James Taylor, etc.

I grew up listening to du-wop. I still love it. My dad also liked some classic rock stuff like beatles. Mom liked Lionel Richie & Kenny Rogers

Mostly classical. A little Peter, Paul and Mary. Oh- and my dad was really into 50's music.

I remember there being quite a bit of Rod Stewart and ELO around when I was a little kid!

My mom always listened to Italian and Spanish music of any kind a(and still does) She also likes Celine Dion and those 4 guys that sing Opera they are really young and cute cant think who they are! My dad likes Italian music as well.

Every Sunday we would listen to Ceol na nGael (Music of the Irish) on WFUV Fordham Unniv. (I have kept that tradition)
They both listened to oldies & country music.
They loved Elvis, Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart & Garth Brooks. They would listen to our music as well.

I will never forget playing outside & hearing a car come down the road blasting AC/DC & it being my father driving.

My mom was a dork... she liked music like Peter Paul and Mary and Everly Brothers. She wasn't big into the Beatles or Led Zep, but she did like the Mamas and the Papas.. she;s into harmony. When i was growing up she was into country and Linda Ronstadt/James Taylor kind of music. Now she mostly listens to country.

My dad was a hippie. He loved Bob Dylan. He also listened to the Beatles, Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkel, but he wasn't big into the Dead or Led Zep either. Now he's into mainstream music. He also likes jazz. He's always calling me to ask "who sings this song?" It's cute.

My parents got married in the 50s. You would think they would be into the Rat pack stuff. We never had music in my house.

Oh my parents are sometimes the worst with music...they LOVE Barbra Streisand and my Dad loves The Beach Boys. The closest my Mom got to liking anyone hip was Wham!

What freaks me out is that I have siblings old enough to be parents of many of you younger ladies. They listened to much of the music your parents seemed to listen to.
