My parents grew up in the 60s. They love 60s music but more of the pop and stuff that was pre-hippie days.

Yeah also to add my dad used to love all the music from the old 101.1 WCBS. My mom is the cooler one who likes Z100 and BLI.

My dad plays guitar and played tons of Jethro Tull. It was what caused me to love the flute at the age of 4 and start playing.
My mom, she was into whatever was popular on the radio. Not really into anyhting in particular.

Growing up my parents mostly listened to 101.1 CBS FM / Cousin Brucie 50s music.
Doo Wops, Acappella, "Love Hour, Half Hour, Hour, Half Hour" on Saturday nights. I know just about every oldies song by heart

My father would also blast us out of bed on Sunday mornings with the FDNY Pipes and Drums and the like, followed up with WFUV's Ceol na Gael irish program. He also like Bob Seger and Laura Branigan

My mother became a Disco chick - Earth, Wind and Fire, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, Peaches and Herb.

But its really the Doo Wops that I remember from the back of the '74 Nova

My dad....OBSESSED with the oldies station, I almost cried for him when WCBS went away. His favorite bands are the Beach Boys (saw them over 20 times), Phil Collins, Gloria Estefan, Chicago.

My mom is basically into the 60s/70s, Rod Stewart is her favorite.

Folk music, we went to a lot of Peter, Paul and Mary concerts. Also, my dad loved Billy Joel. They really like all music which is why I love music in general.
