What monthly bills can be paid via credit card?
We finally got around to getting a credit card with great travel mileage bonuses. We want to use it for as much of our normal monthly bills as possible to rack up the points. We'll pay it off every month. Any advice as to what can be paid with the new card. I'm sure some of you will name things I haven't thought of.
So far, I've come up with groceries, DH's monthly LIRR, verizon, obivously any online shopping. It doesn't seem like LIPA or National grid can be paid that way.

Delta Skymiles Amex--he travels a lot for work now, so he'll get double miles every time he uses it to pay for his travel, which is great. We might as well get something back--even if it's a trickle, over time it'll build up.

I have my EZPass and yearly cord blood registry fee linked to my credit card.
I also use it for larger bills that tend to be unexpected and infrequent (i.e. trips to the vet).
Also co-pays for doctor visits in general.
Clothing when I buy it, stuff for around the house.
While I pay it off monthly too, I'm actually trying to STOP using the credit card completely.

What monthly bills can be paid via credit card?
Cable, Gas, Electric, Groceries, anything we can put on that card we do. It's a Royal Caribbean points card, and we wanna cruise!!

exterminator
doctor visits and copays
pretty much anyone that will take my cash rewards AmEx, that's how i pay.

Car insurance! Didn't think of that one. We don't use oil, so that's a biggie we can't get miles on. I didn't think LIPA accepted credit cards. I checked out payment options on their site.
