What mountain should I take my 5 year old snow tubing?
Looking to bring my 5 year old DD tubing. Any suggestions? It looks like Hunter and Mountain Creek have it...Anyone been there>
Thanks :):)

This was like 15 years ago but you used to be able to sled at Bethpage golf course. I really have no idea if you still can or if you'd wind up in jail. Someone else might know the answer . . .

We go to Campgaw in Mahwah NJ. It's about 30 minutes from the GW Bridge. It's so fun! Small place, VERY nice staff, and not a million punk kids running around like you find at many ski places. You have to reserve the tickets online in advance, as they sell out. Probably a good place to try to make sure it's something your 5 year old likes :)

I've been to the one in Hunter. Honestly, it's pretty icy & scary (for me). Looking online, they added a smaller tubing park, but they do have a height requirement of 42".

Re: What mountain should I take my 5 year old snow tubing?
I went tubing years ago in my 20s at Hunter and had a great time. And I plan on spending the weekend at Vernon next month and taking my older DS tubing. I'm pretty sure they have to be 5years old and over 42inches for tubing. My little one is too young and small to go. I think this differs from place to place, but definitely check out the rules before you make a trip anywhere. My younger DS was able to tube at Woodloch last winter, but it's only one small run.
