what side dishes and appetizers?
my DH and I and another couple are having dinner on Vday. We are making the heart shaped raviolis for the main dish -- what would you suggest for a side dish and what type of appetizer would you make - need suggestions!

Were having them too!
For an appetizer we are having fried clams and shrimp.
With the ravioli I am just making garlic bread.

we are also getting together with friends on Vday. i am making pepperoni bread, bruschetta, and fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and basil for apps. either one of these would be great with your meal as well.

garlic bread
green salad
roasted red pepper and fresh mozzarella salad with balsamic vinegar
grilled asparagus
meatballs
apps:
stuffed mushrooms
crab cakes
baked clams
raw clams or oysters
shrimp cocktail

I went with
shrimp cocktail
antipasta
green salad
fresh mozzarella with tomato
bread
heart shaped ravioli
and wine
