Re: What SUV do you drive?
We just got a 08' pontiac Torrent. I love it. The things I like most are the price, decent gas milage for a truck, really spacious back seat, and safety ratings.

Re: What SUV do you drive?
We have the '07 Nissan Armada and I am not crazy about it. Not really sure why just not my choice. DH loves it though.

Re: What SUV do you drive?
2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor
Pros? Great Styling. Very Comfortable. Smooth Driving. Great Acceleration. 5 Year 60K mile warranty. Huge on the inside.
Cons? Gas Mileage - but hey its an SUV with a big V6, so you have to expect it
Would you recommend? Yes Highly. I would love to buy a used one for myself.....Danielle drives the new one.

Re: What SUV do you drive?
I have a Saturn Outlook and love it. Its roomy, more than we need right now most days but since we plan on keeping it at least 10 years we wanted room to grow. It has a V6 so mileage is pretty good.

I wish my DH would let me buy a used car. a Lexus is a great car! my sister bought a used Lexus RX 330 and LOVES it so much!! ugh - he can be so stubborn
Jake was kind of against it also
till I did some quick math
leasing a ML 350 for 10 years- $78K
buying a used Lexus and driving it for 7 years-
saves $30K
and 10 years- saves $55K
those numbers don't lie!
This may be true, but you also have to figure in the additional maintenance that you will have with an older car. Chances are with a 3 year lease, you will not have to put on tires, do breaks or hit the 45K or 60K mile services. You will also probably want an extended warranty if you are planning on driving it for 7 years which will add on a few thousand. We took a warranty until 7 years 100,000 miles.
I have the RX330, which I really like, but breaks were like $400 and change per set (front and rear) and I think the 60K service is around $1000. I have been driving it for over 4 years with no problems.
The other thing that I have to say about the 330 is that I love it and haven't had any problems with it, but I do find that it is a little bit squished with one carseat and a stroller, so when we have another DC we will probably need something bigger. DD is behind the passenger seat now, and we have to move the front seat pretty far forward to allow for her rear facing carseat. Ideally a car with a third row will be how we go - the highlander or pilot probably. (Unless Lexus comes out with the RX with a 3rd row).

Re: What SUV do you drive?
BMW x5 - I love it!
Pros: not too big, drives like a car, decent gas mileage (for a truck), safe
Cons: not that big, even the one with the 3rd row. I don't have kids, but I do have dogs so its fine now, but may be too small with kids; expensive (I got a great deal on mine, but not sure I'll pay the new price when my lease is up).
I've also had Explorers, which I liked, but I didn't like the new styling. I also used to have a grand cherokee, liked that too, but hated the dealership service out here.
