At night the thermostat both upstairs and downstairs is set to 60, then in the morning the downstairs goes to 63-64..when we leave in the morning it goes back to 60...

When we come home from work I will raise it to about 63 - 64 and goes back to 60 at around 9 pm...I hate paying the oil company...

Depends. Right now - it's 63 during the day when we're not home and 67 at night while we sleep.

I voted 'Other" since we have thermostats in every room.

We have yet to turn on the heat in our kitchen, bedroom and mudroom. In DD's room it's set at 67-68, in the living room i set it to 60-65 but DH will kick it up to 70 if he's cold and our bathroom is set to about 60-65 (70-75 when DH tries to get away with it )

I keep it at 66 during the day (I'm home with DS) and 60 at night. A high quality goose-down comforter will do wonders for keeping you warm at night!

60 at night, between 65-67 during the day. (I'm home all day)

I feel so stingy now - I keep it on 59 when we are not home, 60-62 over night and rarely above 65 while home, unless it is very cold out or the house is not warming up. I might chagne that with a LO on the way!

64 when not at home and at night. Around 67-68 when home.

The new house is pretty darn warm. I mean while the renovating is going on we ar etsill in our other home. So when i visit we just keep the heat at 60 so pipes wont freeze & its not cold. But i think 63/65 would be perfect in there. Im so happy because the one we ar ein now i always have it at 70. I guess the insulation in this house isnt as good as the new. Thats why renovating is great!

Im voting based on new house.

60 when we're not home
68 where we're home/on that level
62/64 upstairs when we're sleeping

I also have a gas fireplace that kicks out a lot of heat in the family room so I'll turn that on/off as needed. Its not unusual for our downstairs thermostat to read 70+ when the fireplace is on.

When we are not here during the day: 58-60
When we are here: 65
When we are sleeping: 58-60

We have vaulted ceilings with skylights - it makes the house drafty. Even at 65, it is still cool, but nothing a sweatshirt can't keep under control. I would love to keep it at 68-70, but my DH would have a heart attack!

We have electric so we're extra careful about the temps!!! When we are home in the evening, we have it running at 68 for about 6 hrs... The rest of the time the heat is completely shut off... At least for now... The lowest Ive seen the thermostat go was 55 (today when I got home from work actually lol)

ETA: We use a heating blanket at night that keeps us warm... I actually sleep alot better when the air is COLDDD

65-67. at night it is set at 65, i had to put it to 66 the alst few nights because my DS room is very drafty.

during the day when i am home with the kids it is usually at 67.....have to put it up to 68 here and there because it is drafty on the floor where hey are crawling around....i hate having the heat up high but there is nothing I can do with little ones in the house.

In the evening when we are home & in the early mornings, it's at about 66. The rest of the day while we're at work, and overnight, I turn the heat off completely.

during the night we have it set for 63. during the day its like 64-65.

66 during the day when we arent home. we bump it up to 68 at night or when we are home.

sometimes to 70 depending on the day.
