Everyone usually comes at noon. We have appetizers out and do the main meal around 1:30ish.

4:30 for 5 dinner. We don't do apps since we don't want to ruin dinner. If it matters everyone is local , no one is in day trip distance (furthest 15 minutes away, most within 5).

I invite everyone over around 2. We have appetizers and drinks, and sometimes some of our siblings then go off to their in-laws or something for dinner. I like having appetizers, but I don't like them right on top of dinner. I usually do dinner around 5.
When I was younger, we ate earlier, but didn't really have appetizers. I feel like appetizers and drinks makes the day more leisurely, allow for people to stop by even if they aren't staying for dinner, and takes some of the pressure off of me while I cook, because I know people aren't STARVING just sitting around waiting for dinner.

My in laws have us come over at 3. Apps are usually out when we get there, dinner is around 5-5:30, dessert is around 7.

every holiday is 4 with dinner around 5. i try to encourage my mom to do a little later or earlier since i split thanksgiving with my in-laws who live 10 minutes away.

We did 4 start time 5 dinner last year but felt it was too late and tiresome. I'm planning it at 2 this year. We like to eat all day long on Thanksgiving and not feel so shot afterwards

I have 7 adult house guests arriving on Wednesday. Everyone else will arrive around 2, salad is served right after everyone arrives

This year I am doing a 2pm start with apps. Aiming to serve dinner at 4. Would normally prefer a little earlier, but someone works at the hospital and has to work that day, so keeping them in mind. But at my house it is pretty much an all day food fest.

at my parents--people come between 1 & 2, we sit down to around 3:30, but there is pretty much non stop eating.
Keep in mind that seem people have to work on Friday. My dad always did, so we never ate too late. As it is, people stay until 8.

This exactly. My family is notoriously late so I have to tell them to start coming WAY early for them to be on time for dinner.

Haven't even thought of it yet. LOL! I'm thinking around 4ish to come over and dinner close to 6. We are a drinking family so we always start with wine, vodka mixed with something, etc. Cheese and crackers and other small apps are out to nosh on.

This is our schedule too. Some of our guests would choose to eat dinner at noon. Others are used to like 3 or 4 o'clock, so this is our compromise.

I guess we do it super late.. we start around 4, with apps, drinks.. dinner is around 7:30/8 and then dessert is around 9.. but honestly, there is no time per se at my place, it is very laid back and casual.
