What to do for a wet cough?
The croup has now turned into a wet cough and a horrible cold.
He is trying to nap but his coughing keeps waking him up. Poor little guy has bags under his eyes because he has napped about an hour less each day.
The cold mist humidifier is on. He gets nebulizer treatments twice a day. Is there something else I should be/could be doing for him?

I'm not a mommy as you're well aware but Guin had a horrible case of the croup when she was about Jack's age.. the only thing that broke up her cough was walking around and rocking her in the bathroom all steamed up from the shower and faucet...
Poor JT!!

This is what I try to do - but since the kid is obsessed with taking showers he ends up in there once he sees the water running. As it is, I already shower with him twice a day so that it will loosen everything up. We are the cleanest people on the block!

Do they have baby mucinex? I know there's a kids formula but not sure how old you have to be for that...
Use Kim's bathroom.. maybe he won't realize he can take a shower there too...lol You need the water to be SUPER hot.. WAY hotter than when you shower..lol

I know - I try, but the second he gets into the bathroom and sees the water running he starts to strip down lol
I don't think there is anything I can give him - I may call the ped when he wakes up.

Re: What to do for a wet cough?
We switched to a warm mist humidifier by vicks that you put the vapor in as the cool mist never did anything to help him......maybe try that?
