What to wear for a Bat Mitzvah?
DS was invited to one, from one of his class mates. I'm also invited. My guess is that we will attend the reception, not the ceremony. It'll be on a Saturday night. What should DS wear and what should I wear?

You can attend both and it would be nice if you did but optional. As for what to wear, where is it? Your son should wear either a suit, or dress slacks, shirt, and tie. You should wear a cocktail dress, unless it is black tie or themed. An appropriate child gift is either 36 or 54, but that would not be a gift from both of you. As for what you give, that is up to you.
