What to Wear To A Demo Lesson?
Elementary school lesson where I will probably be sitting on the carpet too.

Pant Suit or nice pants with shirt with collar?

Pants Suit always looks sharper to me.

I always wear suits for interviews and demo lessons. While it is not what you will typically be wearing, I think it should be worn during all segments of the interviewing process.

Go with the suit. I wore a dress with a suit jacket combo for mine. Good luck!

Def. go with the suit. I would wear a button shirt underneath, and if you get to hot or uncomfortable, you can always take the jacket off. But I think suits are necessary for interviews and demos.
ETA: Good luck!!

Re: What to Wear To A Demo Lesson?
I may be off from the norm - but I didn't wear a suit to any part of my interviews and I was hired w/out a problem. IMO everyone else who was there was dressed in a suit - either pants or skirt. I dressed as they would typically see me at school - nice slacks with a nice top, a nice top with a nice skirt, etc. I tend to think that for our profession, the suit is too much show and not enough tell. They should be able to picture what you would like look when you're really at work, but on one of your best days...at least that's my 2 cents worth
good luck, by the way

ETA: From what I gather in my district, they frown upon people who do not wear a suit to interviews. I know all districts are different though.

Re: What to Wear To A Demo Lesson?
I had an interviewer commend me on wearing a suit and said i was one of the few. They frowned upon NOT wearing one.
FYI...I was offered that job.

I would wear the suit (i am sure that i did), and wear a bright shirt underneath and maybe a fun pin...good luck!!!
This sounds silly but be sure you CAN sit on the floor in your suit, fit wise! You don't want to feel uncomfortable that day!
