What top would look nice with this skirt? Updated: Think I found my shirt!!!
It's short and tight - I am planning on wearing this to my bday party and my dad's holiday party - I don't want to look too hoochy -
I'm thinking something cream colored for some reason - but please share your ideas... thanks!

I would do something very simple, matte black and close to skin. Bold shiny black jewelry by the face only and nude shoes/black shoes. OR you could do a crisp white top, but it would have to be pretty close to the body, nothing that flares out too much...

I really like that second one.
I definitely think something flowy or loose fitting. Doesn't have to be conservative.

I have a Jcrew sequined skirt that I am loving. I think the most modern way to wear it right now is to juxapose some more casual pieces with it. I think it might look kind of cool with a crisp white shirt, a tangle of necklaces, and black booties.
Or, you could do it with a sweater material dolman sleeve top (in maybe a grey or something). You know, something that is slouchy with a wide waist band at the bottom.
