What would YOU do - with poll - potty training related
I've posted about this before but I'm very curious as to what others would do.
I don't know if I should potty train Jack in July or August.
We are driving to Savannah Georgia (about 13hours) in August. I don't know what to do with a kid who is newly trained on a ride like that.
What would you do? If you choose to train before, how would you handle the car ride?
ETA: the whole thing is the pulling over bit. My son drinks A TON of juice/milk during the day. I fear that a 13 hour drive will turn into a 20 hour drive with all of the stops.

Haven't personally trained yet but when we went on car trips when I was little, my parents would bring the child potty on the trip

IMO,,,,your child will train quicker when THEY are ready. If you see he is ready before the trip, dont delay it.

IMO,,,,your child will train quicker when THEY are ready. If you see he is ready before the trip, dont delay it.
But then WTH do I do about the 13 hour ride?

He wont be peeing every 10 minutes
Ant drinks alot too and I am shocked at how long he holds it.

I think if he's ready in July then train in july. You can bring a potty with you and stop when he needs it. Even if you stop every hour for 5 mins that only adds an hour...which isn't bad and that's if you stop every hour....I'm sure he'll sleep part of the way.

I swear most days Jack is on a liquid diet. If only I could do the same

I agree.
Bring a potty, limit the amount he drinks on the trip, and plan to stop... a LOT.
We drove to Florida with a NEWLY trained 2 year old, and it was not that bad.

I would do it now and deal with the stopping. If you put it off just for a trip then after the trip there will be another reason to put it off.

 josh thought the most fun he has ever had was peeing on my car tires.
nc to ny was no problem at all, he would yell, i pull over and he peed on tires.
