what's safe to take for a cold?
Any medicines ok? I can't find the list my doctor gave me.

I was told anything over the counter cannot have a decongestant.

I just suffered through. Cold meds are just temp relief anyway so just hydrate and rest

Same for me. Take it easy (if possible), get plenty of rest, warm showers, and LOTS of liquids. I drank a lot of Gatorade and used plenty of cough drops. Sleeping with a humidifier also helped make me more comfortable. Feel better!

Pretty much nothing. 
With DS I had a cold that turned into a chest infection because there were so many restricted medications. I learned how people died 100 years ago without modern medicine.
The only thing that gave me relief was a humidifier and the neti pot.

Honestly, I would just suffer through it. I had a wicked cold right befor Xmas, and it was pretty bad for 2 days. I just drank a ton of hot water with honey and lemon.
