Going through with my divorce and moving to Manhatten.

Taking the job at my company 5.5 years ago, not the one at Credit Suisse that would have laid me off after a few months when the market when crazy.

Going to work for a company that would possibly go out of business and doing work that I didn't really enjoy. It was a decent pay increase and I took the chance.

It did go out of business, but it gave me a boost in pay that would have taken a few more years, and it brought me to the job I'm doing now, which I enjoy.

When I was 15 and painfully shy I decided to (online) tell a guy I liked him. Ok well, I told his friend to tell him that I liked him but I knew the guy was over the friend's house so same thing, LOL. It was so out of character for me!

Almost ten years later and we are going to be married soon!

even though I'm still not great..having surgery for Crohns in Feb. What they took out of me could have killed me.

Leaving my "right out of college" job about 3 weeks after I started it. I immediately went back to school to finish up my teaching degree and taught for 11 years until I left to be a SAHM--can't wait to go back!!

Switching from Physics to Sculpture in college, even though my Dad was terrified I'd never get a real job. I gained some incredible friends, learned serious discipline, patience, critical thinking and the ability to take criticism well

....and now I work in civil engineering so Dad is happy too

chasing after a man.. when i never thought i would.. he was noncommittal.. turns out he was just scared and is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Going to college. It wasn't a given in my family. I was the 1st to attend and graduate and I did it all on my own.

and I met my DH at college.

Deciding to go to a personal trainer. It definitely changed my life!

joining a sorrority only because I met ther person that intorduced me to my Dh.

other than that it wasnt the best decision because of all the partying and not focusing on school work one bit.

I believe that there are NEVER mistakes - everything you do leads you to where you are right now. I also feel that we THINK we are making decisions, but those decisions are already made for us...

That being said, as hard as my life has been, I believe everything was meant to be to lead me to this very minute.

Breaking up with someone who was my type but was constantly giving me advice on how to improve myself.

Quitting corporate and going back to school for my Masters. It completly changed the course of my life!

I would have to say to make the choice to go back to school and finish my A.S which I will be done with next spring and then I will continue on to my Bachelor's.

I know that i will be able to find a great job and have the life i always wanted for me and my family.

Going to Adelphi for college.

I don't know if it's the best decision I ever made, but it certainly changed my life. I would have never met my DH and my best friends otherwise. (Though I do believe in fate, and think we would have met anyway.)

Going away to college in Maryland..it was an eye opening fun experience. It made me appreciate NYC so much more
