Well there you go. Murphy just announced all students must wear masks in school buikdings regardless if they can social distance
I hope Cuomo follows suit. I will feel more comfortable going back if masks are mandated at all times except eating and mask breaks if necessary.
I feel the same way. I wearing masks will be necessary. I know it's hard for some kids but it's the safest way to get kids back into school. I'm not sure I'd be as comfortable sending my son back to school if the district wasn't pushing mask wearing for the students. Although it seems like a good number of parents in my district do not think their kids should wear masks in school and do not think that masks will help decrease the spread; they think the plexiglass dividers are enough.

I hope so too. He needs to start saying some definitive stuff and stop saying he's leaving it to the districts to figure out. Now he just dropped the bomb that he wants schools to Covid test. I don't see how legally that can happen or in the 4 weeks we have left before school.
It's all shit show.
He said today that basically he gets the last say even though the districts handed in 80 page plans for him. We knew that he wasn’t going to read 700 of them and will do what he wants.

Yes and the parents need to decide if it’s safe. If a school says it’s safe, it doesn’t mean it’s safe.
I want my kids back but the best my district can do is 2x a week and 3x of asynchronous... their full distance plan seems more filling...

Regardless of whether he'll read them, I'm glad he required schools to write them and I would hope most parents are reading them.

I skimmed through as I will wait until they come out with the end plan. That is why there are so many posts here as everyone makes scenarios from what they read as nothing is written in stone yet.
