What's the smallest amount of money that would change your life?
While a million dollars would be great, even if we just won $10,000 I think that would change our lives.
We would be able to get mostly out of cc debt which would be a huge weight lifted off us.
So what's the smallest amout of money you could get that would change your life?

$15,000 would make a huge deal. We would use that money as a Down payment to our house.

for us, probably $10k, too. it'd be enough to pay off CC, one school loan and downpayment for another car. (i've totally worked this all out already!)
however, come June, we'll be having a baby and we have no insurance so that 10K would probably go to the delivery bill!
i know exactly where it could go, wouldn't waste any! ugh! if only it were that easy!

$100K - it would pay off most of DH's school debt and allow us to buy a house without worrying about a student loan payment that would be close to a mortgage payment.

I would say $100k:
- Pay off two cars
- Pay off two student loans
- Bring down mortgage

I hate to sound greedy, but it would probably take a minimum of 50K to change my life --
Yes even 10K would be a huge help, but I cannot see it really changing our lives per se --

Depends on the day...if I don't have lunch money on hand and I get sick of Ramen noodles, I'd say a buck and change to get something off the dollar menu
Seriously? About $10,000 - to clear out the CC debt and get me out of the night job.

That's what I was thinking.
I would want enough so we could buy a home or at least drop a huge downpayment so our mortgage would be the same as our rent. And we could really use a second car.

Yep-pay off my mortgages and have enough to do something significant with my career even though the $$ wouldn't be a real salary.
That would change my life.

for us, I think $50K would do it. 
we would use that as a DP on a house and maintain our savings.

I would say $50,000 to change my life. Anything under would be nice, but I don't think it would have any great bearing on my life currently. I currently have zero debt and zero car payments so it's not a matter of paying off anything. It's a matter of using the money I currently have saved as a down payment and using the $50,000 to cover initial renovations without sweating too much - since every house we look at needs a gazillion things done to it.
