I find it strange that my 18 month old son love to eat pickles. I'm just really surprised he likes that kind of taste. One time at dinner he spotted them on the table and refused to eat what I had given him. All he wanted were the pickles.

I don't think hummus or chickpeas is unusual! All Israeli kids eat that stuff! Alex has been eating them since she was about 1, and still loves them.
Her favorite thing in the world is olives  And tofu.
And this DISGUSTING pickled cabbage that we get for free everytime we order chinese food. I try to throw it out everytime, but she grabs it and eats the entire container 
And, oh yes, she's fond of gefilte fish, just like her daddy. BLECTH!

i found it strange that one of DS's first finger foods was pickles and he LOVES them! olives too!  (he was 7 months when he first had them, he is 8 months now)

you are insane!! that pickled cabbage is soooooo good.... mmm now i want some!
and as long as you pile on the horseradish, gefilte fish isn't so bad

my 2 1/2 year old loves japanese food: miso soup, edamame (she knows how to take them out of the shell), cucumber rolls, and red bean ice cream!

My 3 yr old DS likes--
Raw onions.
Sour cream right out of the container.
Jelly straight out of the jar on a spoon (don't know why but this grosses me out)
Garlic knots. This is his favorite "fast food". If we go out for pizza he enjoys the pizza but what he REALLY wants are the garlic knots.
He loves hummus but I didn't think that was unusual because I am addicted to it too! DS and I blow through a container in just a few days with our carrot sticks!

any possible seafood: scallops, clams, calimarie, shrimp...you name it & lemons! He's loved them since he was a baby and still does now!
