I am also proud to say my sorority as a whole organization of both collegians and alumni on May 23, 2005 presented a check for $1,367,561.67 to St. Jude's children's research hospital in Memphis, TN.
St. Jude's childrens hospital was able to build the teen room with the funds that were raised.

My maternal grandmother passed in 1978 from complications of Lupus - actually, it was a cerebral hemhorrage that actually killed her. She left behind 4 kids. My mom was the oldest, at age 17, and the youngest was 11.
