I go through phases.
I just started scrapbooking again after a long hiatus. I have enough supplies to open a store and thousands of pictures i already had printed so it's low cost activity.
I'm a big party planner and I usually make centerpieces, decorations and stuff for big parties.
I do a little card making, I made the invitations and thank you cards for my moms birthday party. I might do holidays cards this year, I've done them before.
A few months ago I decided to make some of the stuff I loved on pinterest, that was fun.
Other things I like to do but haven't done lately are dollhouse building, painting of small crafts, wreath making, making photo books and calendars online as gifts.

I sculpt clay cake toppers and sometimes make jewelry out of clay. I also do a lot of glass etching (toasting flutes, wine glasses, cutting boards), which is usually personalized. I have been working with vinyl a lot too - making personalized established wood signs, picture frames, and wall quotes!

anyone have an ideas on what I can do as a hobby that is not too time consuming/complicated. I am a FTWM, with 2 small kids but I want to do something. Not sure what.

what's your current hobby/interest?
i knit more than anything else. i also crochet.
i haven't done any other crafting in a while since i'm working hard on reducing my belongings (we're planning to move).
knitting and crocheting are awesome because, depending on what you're making, it can be very portable. tools are relatively inexpensive... although yarn can vary widely. it's a quiet craft that can be done while watching tv or while kids nap. again, depending on what you make... you almost always get a very usable finished item: clothes for the kids and/or yourself... or even gifts.
i knit with quality yarns because i feel i should enjoy the process of spending many hours with the yarn running through my fingers.
knitting and crocheting can be pretty easy to learn. if you find a group of people who meet regularly to knit/crochet, you run a really good chance that they'll be willing to teach you for free.
right now, i have the following on needles:
* a baby blanket
* a pair of socks
* a doggie blanket for charity
i'm planning to make the following soon:
* a lace shawl
* more socks
* a lace cowl
* sweaters (for SO, DS, and myself)
i LOVE knitting!!

I just got into a form of art called Zentangle. It is like doodling but more intense. It is so relaxing to me. I want to take a course soon to learn more.
